Temple Run 2 is one of the most faithful follow ups to the hit, Temple Run game. The first Temple Run game allowed players to explore the wastes of Amande and try to survive against all kinds of enemies. Temple Run 2 brings the story of Temple Run to a new stage in an original storyline. The aim is to explore the Temple Run and level up the Temple Run faster and harder than ever.
In the beginning you will find yourself in the center of the battlefield with a map of the area around you. You can view all the items around you on your mini map and see your overall progress towards the objective of getting to the bottom of the temple. When you first enter the area the fog is heavy and gives you poor visibility. As you proceed further in the game you will notice that the fog reduces and you are able to see a bit clearer. When you finally reach the end of the level the screen will reveal the time you just beat the enemy.
Temple Run is all about speed and the way you traverse the levels will determine your success. The very first temple you run into has a deadly machine gun that you have to use to shoot at the enemies without exposing yourself to any damage. Use the mouse to aim and fire. The aim of the game is not to shoot and kill as much as possible without exposing yourself to danger. You should be trying to level up as fast as possible so that you can advance to the next level.
When you reach the second level you are confronted by three more robots. Again your aim is not to kill as many as possible without exposing yourself to risk. Continue to move forward until you come to a control panel. Use the key combination and enter the password to gain entrance into the inner sanctum. Inside there are more enemies to fight and a boss battle with a giant robot.
After surviving the first wave of enemies you find yourself in the third level. The levels are increasingly difficult but you have more weapons and allies to help you through. You will notice that the levels become increasingly harder to complete when you get to the fourth one. If you make too many mistakes you run the risk of failing the level which means you will have to replay it all from the beginning.
This game is a very fun and exciting game to play. You will find yourself completing the levels fast and moving on to the next level quickly. When you reach the five or six level mark, you will want to go back and do some more. The difficulty increases exponentially. It would take an entire lifetime to complete the game, so do not stop if you get stuck on one level.
This game is very well written and captivating. The storyline is interesting and draws you into playing the game. The music is upbeat and fitting for the game. In fact, the best thing about Temple Run: Maiden of Black Water is its music. The music adds to the adventure as you follow the characters through their adventures.
Temple Run: Maiden of Black Water is available on the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC. It is not a very challenging game and players with slow computers should not have any problems completing this game. If you like action packed games that give you thrills and provide entertainment, then you will love playing this game.
