You’ve probably heard by now that the hit television show “The Golden Triangle Collection” has become something of a phenomenon on Facebook. If you’re one of those fans, you’ll surely have spent a lot of time trying to unlock the secret behind this website and obtain all the items featured on it. Well, the good news is, the developers of the original game have released a sequel called “My Talking Tom 2: The Secrets of Jo-Ann’s Candy Shop”. Not only does this sequel feature the well-known characters from the first game (like Flo and Tom), but it includes all new locations, sounds, images, and gameplay!
Now, the premise of the game is the same as the first one, where your character goes on an adventure and the goal is to uncover the location’s hidden items. The new venue in this version is called the “Candy Shop”, and as in the first game, your objective is to find the ingredients for a mythical Chocolate Factory. Your speaking Tom, on the other hand, is once again required to participate in virtual pet conversations with Flo and several of her other unlockable guests.
The new locations in My Talking Tom 2 include the Downtown Disney Area, Sweet Apple Acres, and the Camp Snoopy Area. In the Downtown Disney area, Tom has to find the key to the “secret shop” before revealing the secret to Flo. In Sweet Apple Acres, Tom must convince Flo’s reluctant friends to give him the gift of gourmet food. And in the Camp Snoopy area, Tom has to rescue some dinosaurs before they’re stolen by Buzzy Bamboo and his evil counterparts from the Virtual Villains Club. As in the first game, the controls are simple, and all you do is point and click on the screen. There are also a few powerups available, which will make your journey easier.
My Talking Tom is now available for iPhone users, providing another opportunity for the virtual pets themselves to receive a boost of fame and fortune. This application will make even the most shy of my talking tom friends feel like a real celebrity. Users can even purchase outfits for their pets from the shop. There are also many sound effects and music tracks, such as “Jingle Bells”, “Caroline, the Nutcracker”, and “The Whims of Prosperity”.
My Talking Tom is free to download from the iTunes App Store, where it is ranked number three amongst the paid apps (after Facebook and Twitter). It is compatible with iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad, although the iPhone version does not include the interactive sound and animation elements of the iPad version. A money-saving offer is available from the developer if you pay for the full version, as opposed to purchasing the lower priced version with the limited features.
